Privacy program
Practical compliance. Clear direction.
HIPAA compliance you can actually put into practice.
Pennsylvania-based HIPAA compliance consulting for small healthcare organizations, business associates, law firms, and records teams—with remote support available nationwide.
Where clarity begins
Compliance should not live in a binder no one opens.
The trouble is rarely bad intent. It is unclear ownership, outdated documents, inconsistent request handling, and staff who have never been shown what the policy means on a busy Tuesday.
Verity helps turn federal privacy and security obligations into organized, defensible processes your team can understand and use.
What a stronger HIPAA program covers

Why Verity
Built from the records desk outward.
Verity grew from hands-on experience with protected records, subpoenas, follow-up, release decisions, invoices, and the daily work of keeping requests from falling through the cracks.
That operational lens matters. Good compliance is not just a rule correctly quoted—it is a clear process, a responsible person, and proof that the work was done.

Straight answers
Important questions, answered plainly.
Does Verity provide legal advice?
No. Verity provides educational and operational compliance support, not legal advice or legal representation. Questions requiring legal interpretation should go to qualified counsel.
Is a Verity engagement a HIPAA certification?
No. HHS does not recognize a private consultant's work as an official HIPAA certification, and no honest advisor can guarantee that an organization will never experience a violation or breach.
Can we start with just one workflow?
Yes. The Protected Records Workflow Review is intentionally focused. It can stand alone or become the first piece of a broader compliance program.
Should we include patient information in an inquiry?
No. Do not submit patient names, medical details, claim numbers, or any protected health information through the consultation form.
Do small healthcare practices need a HIPAA security risk analysis?
HIPAA-regulated covered entities and business associates must assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ePHI. The process should fit the organization’s size and complexity, but small size does not erase the obligation.
Does HIPAA apply to business associates?
Yes. Business associates can be directly responsible for parts of the HIPAA Rules, and their contracts, safeguards, subcontractor relationships, and incident-reporting processes should match the work they perform.
Can Verity help us prepare for an OCR inquiry or audit?
Verity can help organize policies, risk work, training records, logs, vendor materials, and corrective-action evidence. Verity does not represent clients before regulators or provide legal advice; counsel should lead legal strategy and formal responses.
Do you work outside Pennsylvania?
Yes. Verity is based in Northeastern Pennsylvania and can provide remote operational support nationwide for federal HIPAA requirements. State-specific legal questions are referred to qualified counsel.
